Properties and Applications: dark yellow red. Orange powder. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in 1, 2, 3, 4 – Tetrahydronaphthalene and Xylene. In concentrated sulfuric acid to purple, dilution after brown light red precipitation: alkaline reduction leuco for red light purple; Acid reduction leuco for dark orange.
