Properties and Applications: dark red light purple. Soluble in water for magenta, soluble in ethanol for red orange, slightly soluble in acetone. In concentrated sulfuric acid to red light purple, after dilution to orange; In concentrated nitric acid for yellow brown. Dye aqueous solution to join concentrated hydrochloric acid for orange; Join concentrated sodium hydroxide solution for brown light orange.
