Manufacturing Methods : Formaldehyde and 2-Hydroxy-3-methylbenzoic acid condensation, its product in Nitrosylsulfuric acid Disodium with 3-Hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid common oxidation.

Properties and Applications: brilliant navy blue. Soluble in water into wine red, soluble in ethanol for red wine. In concentrated sulfuric acid to dark purple, dilution for red wine. Dye aqueous solution to join sodium hydroxide as purple.
