Manufacturing Methods :  1-Methyl-2-nitrobenzene reduction for 3,3′-Dimethylbenzidine, and then b6-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid rearrangement of inversion.

Properties and Applications:

white or brown powder, with similar the smell of aniline, melting point 129 ℃. Slightly soluble in water, but soluble in dilute acids, ethanol and aether. Widely used in preparation of the direct dyes and organic pigments.
