Properties and Applications: red. Soluble in water for red jade, soluble in ethanol for product red. In the strong sulfuric acid as dark blue, diluted in red. The dye solution with strong hydrochloric acid have purplish red precipitate; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution for purplish red color to red sauce.
