Manufacturing Methods : 3-(Ethyl(phenyl)amino)methyl)benzenesulfonic acid and Formaldehyde  condensation, and then (a) oxidation as dimer water molecules, again with N,N-diethylbenzenamine condensation, oxidation, and translated into sodium salt; Or (b) in N,N-diethylbenzenamine with heavy presence of chromate acid direct oxidation.

Properties and Applications:  bright blue purple. For purple is soluble in water, soluble in ethanol for violet blue. The strong sulfuric acid to red light yellow, dark for diluted. The dye solution to join sodium hydroxide light dark purple. And C.I. Acid Violet 17 and the same chemical structure.
