Properties and Applications: Deep green. Soluble in water is purple, not soluble in ethanol. In concentrated sulfuric acid for red, dilution after purple, blue light red precipitation. Dye aqueous solution to join concentrated hydrochloric acid for magenta; With strong caustic is purple.
