Manufacturing Methods : (a) 3-(Diethylamino)phenol and Phthalic anhydride ondensation, alkali fusion, with sulfuric acid acid solution, and using hydrochloric acid crystallization, (b) 2-(3,6-Dichloro-9H-xanthen-9-yl)benzoic acid and Diethylamine in pressure reaction (BP 960088), then made C.I. Basic Violet 10  free base.
