Properties and Applications:yellow red. Soluble in water for red, soluble in ethanol and Cellosole, hardly soluble in acetone, insoluble in other organic solvent. In concentrated sulfuric acid to red light purple, red brown after dilution precipitation; In concentrated nitric acid for blue, then into olive brown, finally to orange. Dye water solvent to join concentrated hydrochloric acid has dark red light brown precipitation; Join concentrated sodium hydroxide solution for dark brown, precipitation. Used to varnish, plastic, wood color.
