Manufacturing Methods : (a)1,4-diamino-anthracene-10-diol in sulfuric acid in the presence of chloride with Methanol in methylation; (b) 1,4-Dihydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione (anthracene-1,4,9,10-tetraol) with ammonia and Methanamine processing, and oxidation.

Properties and Applications:brilliant blue purple. Soluble in acetone, benzene, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in linseed oil. In concentrated sulfuric acid for brown, after diluted to red. Used for alcohol, esters, hydrocarbon solvent, ethylene and alkyd resin paint.
